WE BECOME CLOSER to CBRN with DISTANCE LEARNING
Turkish CBRN Defense Policy Development Association (CBRN Association) and Forensic Scientists Association organized an online 60-hour Certified Forensic CBRN-E course between 27 March 2021 and 08 April 2021 in order to raise the CBRN awareness in our country.
In this Forensic CBRN-E Course, which was carried out for the first time in our country in such a comprehensive and long-term period, Forensic Sciences, Food Safety, Food Defense and Agroterrorism, Bioterrorism, Chemical warfare agents, Weapons of Mass Destructio, CBRN-E Materials Usage Methods, Targets, Spreading Mechanisms, Bombs and Dirty Bomb, Radioactive threats, Radionuclear Accidents and Incidents, Suspicious Packages, Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic CBRN (Dirty Evidence) Examination Laboratory in CBRN-E Attacks, Emergency and Disaster Management in CBRN Incidents, CBRN Incident Site Management were lectured in an interactive manner. Sampling and field detection procedures in CBRN environment and analysis methods to be performed in the laboratory were also explained along with the introduction of these materials and equipment to be used during these procedures.

Throughout the course process, the trainees aere enabled to participate in the lessons one-to-one discussion. During this application, scenario-based interactive studies on expert / cross-examination and CBRN crime scene management applications were carried out. Topics related to CBRN are presented by the trainees. In this way, during the online course, the active participation of the trainees in the lessons was ensured, and their knowledge and awareness of the detailed course content and CBRN-E issues were increased.

Due to the fact that the participants of the course were from different disciplines, an opportunity to work interdisciplinary between individuals was created, and information was provided to raise awareness of the relevant institutions and the public on CBRN.
